Lakeside Cabin Property Revival

Project Overview

Wild raspberry bushes and young saplings had completely overtaken the path between this cabin and the lake. Historic stone steps were buried under years of growth. We uncovered the steps, cleared the path, and gave the cabin a lake view worth the property value.

The Challenge

Twenty-four historic stone steps leading from the cabin to the lake were completely buried under wild raspberry bushes and aggressive sapling growth. The homeowner knew the steps existed from old photos but had given up on ever finding them again. The entire path to the lake was impassable.

Our Solution

We used precision mulching to carefully work around the suspected stone step locations, gradually revealing each step as we cleared the overgrowth. Our operator worked slowly and methodically in this section to avoid damaging the historic stonework while clearing aggressively in the surrounding areas.

The Result

All 24 stone steps were uncovered intact, creating a beautiful natural staircase from cabin to lake. The cleared property now showcases the cabin's lakefront setting, and a recent appraisal showed a $45,000 increase in property value directly attributable to the clearing work.
